Common questions

I don't get the morning card.

Open the app, swipe up, tap the settings button, and check the time and days. Also check that notifications for Can't Complain are allowed in your iPhone's Settings › Notifications.

The stories feel too hard, or too soft.

In the app's settings, “How hard should it hit?” lets you choose Gentle, Honest or Unflinching. It applies from the next morning's card.

Are the stories true?

Yes. Every story is based on historical sources, listed for each one. The pictures are illustrations made with AI to show the moment; they are not historical photographs.

The narration doesn't play.

Turn up the volume. The narration plays even with the silent switch on. If it still doesn't play, restart the app and write to us.
